CITY Seafood
Project Overview
CITY Seafood, an established wholesale seafood supplier in St. Louis, Missouri, decided to expand into the direct-to-consumer (D2C) market with a new seafood delivery service. I was commissioned to design a new website on Figma that would introduce this service to residential customers in the St. Louis area. The project’s goal was to create an engaging, user-friendly digital platform that would showcase CITY Seafood’s fresh, high-quality offerings and enable easy online ordering for home delivery. This new D2C branch represents a significant shift in CITY Seafood’s business model, aiming to bring restaurant-quality seafood directly to consumers’ homes.
The Challenge
The primary challenge was to design a website that would effectively communicate CITY Seafood’s expertise and quality to a new consumer audience, while differentiating the D2C service from their existing wholesale business. The design needed to convey the freshness and variety of their seafood products, educate consumers about seafood selection and preparation, and create a seamless online shopping experience. Additionally, the website had to align with CITY Seafood’s established brand identity while introducing new elements that would appeal to residential customers.
